Congratulations to team #137 GRITTYUP who participated in this year’s all female off road rally in the American dessert southwest called Rebelle Rally. Tackling the course over several days Michelle Kerby drove the team’s 2019 Lexus GX460 over miles of rough terrain, maintaining the team’s average speed without rolling the vehicle on rugged terrain or destroying the suspension! Navigating the team was Tasha Krug who, according to rally rules, was not able to use GPS. Instead, teams must use paper maps, sextants and other manual navigation aides. Their efforts earned them 11th place in the rally out 45 4×4 competitors, and they were the only Lexus GX460 to compete.
Both team members are avid outdoors enthusiasts hailing from the Utah region. Their Lexus GX460 rig came ready for serious off road and overland challenges with equipment and gear from sponsors like:
