The All-New Lexus LX700: Luxury Meets Off-Road Capability

The Lexus LX has always been synonymous with luxury and capability, and the all-new 2025 LX700 takes it to the next level. With a powerful new hybrid powertrain, a sophisticated four-wheel-drive system, and a host of advanced features, the LX700 is ready to tackle any terrain in style.

Engine and Performance

The LX700 is powered by a new twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with an electric motor. This hybrid system produces a combined output of 457 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque, giving the LX700 plenty of muscle for both on- and off-road driving. Lexus estimates that the LX700 will achieve a combined fuel economy of 20 mpg, which is impressive for a large SUV.

Off-Road Capability

The LX700 is not just a luxurious SUV; it’s also a capable off-roader. The LX700 features a full-time four-wheel-drive system with Multi-Terrain Select, which allows you to choose the optimal driving mode for the conditions. The LX700 also has a height-adjustable air suspension that provides up to 2.6 inches of ground clearance, allowing you to clear obstacles with ease.

For even more off-road capability, the LX700 Overtrail edition adds front and rear locking differentials, a 2,400-watt AC inverter, and all-weather floor liners. The Overtrail edition also comes with 33-inch all-terrain tires, 18-inch wheels, and a skid plate for added protection.

Other Features

The LX700 is packed with other features that make it a luxurious and comfortable SUV. The interior features Lexus’s signature semi-aniline leather seats, a panoramic moonroof, and a premium audio system. The LX700 also comes with a suite of advanced driver-assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

Cost

Lexus has not yet announced pricing for the LX700, but it is expected to start around $100,000. The LX700 Overtrail edition is expected to be even more expensive.

Overall

The Lexus LX700 is a luxurious and capable SUV that is perfect for those who want a vehicle that can handle both on- and off-road driving. With its powerful hybrid powertrain, sophisticated four-wheel-drive system, and long list of features, the LX700 is sure to impress.

Additional Notes

  • The LX700 is available in both two- and three-row configurations.
  • The battery for the hybrid system is located under the luggage compartment for two-row configurations, and beneath the third-row seat for three-row configurations.
  • The LX700 is expected to go on sale in late 2024.

While the Lexus LX700 brings sophistication, power and off-road features… the significant price will likely deter owners from actually driving it off road. The Overtrail model will probably look tough and rugged, but let’s be honest who wants to take their hundred thousand plus SUV And drag it over rocks and up against trees.
