Lexus GX460 Front Bumper Comparison 2026 – Offroad and Overland

If I were spending my own money on a GX460 bumper today, I’d ignore half the Instagram crowd and focus on three things:

  1. Does it improve approach angle?
  2. Does it protect the truck without turning the front suspension into a submarine?
  3. Does it look like it belongs on a Lexus instead of a Mad Max prop vehicle?

Here’s the list I’d start with for a 2010-2023 GX460.

My Recommendation

For most GX460 owners:

Victory Strike (#1)

Why?

Because most GX460 owners spend:

  • 80% of their time on pavement
  • 15% on forest roads
  • 4% on rocky trails
  • 1% taking photos for Instagram

The Victory Strike gives you:

  • Better approach angle
  • Winch capability
  • Reasonable weight
  • Factory appearance

without making your Lexus look like it lost a fight with a welding shop.

If you’re building a true overland rig and don’t care about weight:

CBI Covert (#2) – I’m partial… this is what I run and love it!

If you’re cheap, handy, and own a welder:

Coastal Offroad (#4)

The Coastal bumper is the best bang-for-the-buck option in the GX world. The catch is that the savings come from your labor.

The One Most People Regret

The full-height ARB-style bumpers.

They’re fantastic in Australia where kangaroos routinely commit suicide on your front grille.

Everywhere else??? Most owners eventually realize they added 200+ pounds to the nose of a luxury SUV so they could survive a collision with livestock they were never going to hit. That’s a lot of suspension sag for a problem that doesn’t exist.
