In North Texas you have three options for overlanding the mountains: the Davis Mountains in West Texas, the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico/Colorado, or the Ouachita and Ozark Mountains in Oklahoma and Arkansas. In this episode, we travel to the Oklahoma “Ouachitas” for a weekend overland adventure in the GX460. It was a wet, water filled weekend but turned out to be a beautiful weekend with mild temperatures. The rented pop up camper trailer was a “first” experience for us but sure made the rain more tolerable and the Lexus GX towing was amazing! Come along with us as we explore the Oklahoma Ouachitas, Broken Bow Lake and the forest around Hochatown, OK.
